Q: Will I have to wait a long time for my cabinets?
A: Delivery time varies depending upon the level of pending orders from all our clients. During our slower periods, around the holidays, delivery time can be as quick as 5 weeks. However, during the busy spring/summer/fall remodeling and construction seasons, delivery times can reach up to 13 weeks. Amish Custom Kitchens aims at a 6 to 8 week delivery period as optimal. We will help you plan accordingly to keep your project on schedule.
Q: Is there a warranty on Amish cabinets?
A: Yes. Like most cabinet manufacturers, the Amish formally provide a full 1-year warranty. However, if at any time, even years after delivery, you experience a problem, simply contact your Amish Custom Kitchens designer and we will resolve the problem, usually at no cost to you.
Q: Does Amish Custom Kitchens have a showroom I can visit?
A: Yes, we have a showroom/office on the northwest side of Chicago at 6756 N. Harlem Ave. The showroom is not always open during business hours and appointments are required. Often, it is best for the first meeting to be at the customer’s house to better design a kitchen that fits with your home, follow-up appointment(s) will then be at the showroom to finalize colors and styles.
Q: Do the Amish really make these cabinets by hand, without any electricity?
A: All cabinets are handcrafted and built with extraordinary attention to detail, using hand tools and pneumatic-powered (high-pressure air) tools. Some required saws cannot be converted to pneumatic power, and in those specific instances, the Amish Church allows the faithful to make their own electricity to power an electric motor.
Q: Is there a retainer fee for Amish Custom Kitchens to design our kitchen?
A: No. We are confident in our products and service, so we do not require a retainer upfront.
